Clean Fuels Michigan recently submitted comments to the National Science Foundation RFI on workforce training and innovation.
Michigan is the heart of the U.S. automotive industry, and as vehicle technologies evolve, so must our workforce systems.
In our response, we emphasized:
• Growing demand for skilled workers across advanced manufacturing, batteries, software, and new fueling infrastructure
• The importance of modernizing Michigan’s strong K-12, community college, trade, and university pipelines
• The role of domestically produced fuels in strengthening U.S. energy independence
• The urgency of maintaining American automotive leadership as global competition intensifies
