Margaret O’Riley is the founder of O’Riley Consulting, a firm dedicated to empowering clients in the green energy sector. With expertise in business development and sales, corporate partnerships, strategy execution, and project management, she offers tailored consulting services that help organizations navigate and thrive in the rapidly evolving energy landscape. Notably, she works with clients like SkillFusion, which focuses on workforce training and is launching a nationwide talent pipeline for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) service providers, as well as EnerSys, where she promotes innovative battery systems coupled with DC Fast chargers which can provide enhanced energy resiliency, and Storlytics, a new software platform that accurately predicts utility grade BESS battery life, based on the customer’s use case.

Margaret’s extensive professional background includes serving as Vice President of Business Development at Electrada and holding various roles at Duke Energy, where she played a crucial role in attracting investments in the battery and automotive sectors. With over 12 years at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation in executive positions, she helped launched this organization, and significantly contributed to numerous economic development incentive programs and initiatives. In 2002, Margaret first launched O’Riley Consulting and helped the private sector secure economic development grants and incentives on behalf of dozens and dozens of companies including Johnson Controls and Bosch, as well as 130 Tool and Die companies. Margaret is also an active board member of NAATBatt and an international battery advocacy organization. Recognized as one of the top economic development professionals nationally in 2018 and 2019, she is a proud alumnus of Michigan State University and continues to be a key figure in advancing sustainability and efficiency in the energy sector.
